Pastor Herman Bucklew

Pastor Bucklew was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1963 as his father attended Baptist Bible College. He came to know Christ as his Saviour in April 1983 in West Germany, while serving in the Army. He left the military in 1986 and attended Pensacola Bible Institute for one year. Married, he and his wife joined Herman's uncle at Whitmorth Memorial Baptist Church in Tennessee. He served as the music man and the Associate Pastor.

Herman and his wife traveled to Ohio and enrolled at the Massillon Baptist college in 1988 for three years. During this time, he served as Bus Minister and head of Junior Church at the Louisville Baptist Temple. Serving in various capacities at the Louisville Baptist Temple, he determined to finish his college career in 1999.

In 2001, Herman took his first pastorate at East Sunsbury Baptist Church in Beallsville, Ohio. In 2003, the Lord called him to the First Baptist Church of New London. They have a successful Christian School, of which Pastor Bucklew while pastoring the church was the Superintendent and a teacher.

Pastor Bucklew has been at Heritage Baptist since 2006. He and his wife feel truly blessed and excited to be serving here in Upper Sandusky. Herman and his wife now live in Upper Sandusky, and have been married for nearly 30 years. They have three sons.
